LPDDR5X, which evolved from LPDDR5, was designed to improve data transfer rates, power efficiency, bandwidth, density and overall performance for mobile devices.

LPDDR5X’s benefits are most noticeable in tasks that require rapid data access and processing while consuming relatively low power. These mobile applications benefit the most from LPDDR5X:

  1. High-end gaming: LPDDR5X allows for smoother gameplay, faster loading times and improved overall performance.
  2. Camera and image processing: LPDDR5X helps process and store images and videos quickly.
  3. AI and machine learning: Applications that use on-the-edge AI and machine learning models for tasks like image recognition and language processing benefit from faster RAM for quicker data access during edge computation.
