DATA CENTER SSD

Micron 9550 NVMe™ SSD

The world’s fastest data center SSD, the Micron 9550 NVMe™ SSD delivers superior PCIe® Gen5 performance, flexibility and security — for AI and beyond.

The world’s fastest data center SSD

The Micron 9550 NVMe™ SSD leads competitors as the world’s fastest SSD for data center storage.1

Built to manage critical workloads requiring extreme speed, scalability, and power efficiency such as AI, performance-focused databases, caching, online transaction processing (OLTP) and high-frequency trading. The Micron 9550 SSD enables these workloads and more for flexible deployment in cloud, data center, OEM and system integrator designs. With available storage capacities reaching up to 30.72TB, the Micron 9550 SSD helps ensure optimal storage density.

The Micron 9550 SSD includes broad Open Compute Project (OCP) 2.0 support, with additional OCP 2.5 support for adding advanced telemetry data logging to monitor the SSD’s performance and health. OCP provides intelligent management capabilities to optimize and resolve common data center issues quickly and proactively while bringing cloud-scale capabilities to enterprise data centers.2

The Micron 9550 helps keep your data safe with key security features like SPDM 1.2, SHA-512 and RSA standards. Micron’s Secure Execution Environment (SEE) provides dedicated processing hardware with physical isolation for additional security.3

Benefits

Greater speed and efficiency for data-intensive workloads

The Micron 9550 boasts best-in-class performance, achieving 14.0 GB/s sequential reads and 10.0 GB/s sequential writes. This remarkable speed, up to 67% better than similar competitive SSDs,4 helps ensure unrivaled performance for demanding workloads.1

The ideal SSD for AI

AI workloads need more performance and power, and this drive is built for the most demanding workloads. The Micron 9550 outperforms competitors’ AI workload performance and power efficiency with Big Accelerator Memory (BaM) using NVIDIA® technology. It delivers up to 33% faster workload completion times and 60% faster feature aggregation performance — while using up to 43% less average SSD power.5,6

Micron innovation delivers the latest features and vertical integration

The Micron 9550 integrates Micron-designed controller ASIC, NAND, DRAM and firmware. It supports NVMe 2.0 and OCP 2.0, with OCP 2.5 for telemetry data logging.2 Designed for end-to-end security, it safeguards data with features like SED, SPDM 1.2, SEE, and encryption.3
