This introductory session covers the basics of semiconductor memory fabrication at the wafer level. We will build CMOS transistor devices step by step as we cover the following process areas that support fabrication: photolithography, dry etch, wet process, implant, chemical mechanical planarization, diffusion, chemical vapor deposition, physical vapor deposition, metrology and real-time defect analysis.
