Build a Solid State Drive (SSD)

In this module, participants dive into the world of product development by designing a Solid State Drive (SSD) for a targeted market segment. They begin by exploring what an SSD is, where it is used, and the essential components that make it work. Working in teams, participants create an SSD concept that meets customer needs while navigating feature trade-offs within a fixed budget. Each team member assumes a real-world role - marketing, architecture, procurement, board layout, or quality - and collaborates to balance performance, cost, and customer requirements. This hands-on experience builds practical understanding of technology, teamwork, and strategic decision-making in the product development process.
