What is an atom? What are the parts of an atom? Learn to read the periodic table of the elements and find the specific identification of an element in its own cell. Identify the characteristics that make each element unique. This knowledge is important because the semiconductor fabrication process utilizes dozens of different elements through the 1000+ steps to fabricate a memory chip. Two activities are provided to reinforce these concepts.
