Quality certifications

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is one of a series of three international standards dealing with quality systems. Its standards set a globally recognized quality control system in design/development, manufacturing, testing, installation and servicing. The third-party certification confirms that Micron has a quality management system to ensure customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

Micron achieved ISO 9001 certification on February 1, 1994 and has successfully transitioned into the ISO9001:2015 standard.

Micron maintains an “enterprise registration” system that encourages central coordination and control across its sites and operations.

IATF 16949

IATF16949 is an internationally recognized Quality Management System specification for the Automotive Industry. Developed to meet the rigorous expectations of the automotive industry and improve supplier performance, the standard included additions for improved customer requirements management, advanced product quality planning, risk management, control planning, measurement systems analysis and calibration, and business process management.

Micron Quality Management system is in compliance and certified to the latest version of the automotive standard IATF16949:2016, used in conjunction with ISO9001:2015.

ANSI/ESD S2020 Certification

To meet the global need in the electronics industry for technically sound ESD Control Programs, EOS/ESD Association, Inc. has established an independent third-party certification program. The program is administered by EOS/ESD Association, Inc. through country-accredited ISO9000 certified bodies that have met the requirements of this program. The Facility Certification Program evaluates a facility's ESD program based on the industry standards ANSI/ESD S20.20 or IEC 61340-5-1.

Certification through an accredited third party provides assurance that standards, goods, and services meet essential requirements throughout the global supply chain – engendering consumer trust and fostering competitiveness. Increasingly, procurement authorities, government agencies, and program/scheme owners are requiring certification to demonstrate the technical competence and impartiality of conformance services and processes. These assessments enhance confidence between buyers and sellers as they mitigate risk.

Micron achieved its first certification in MSB last February 2020 and soon after MXA and MTB completed theirs in the same year. Micron is listed among the certified facilities in ESDA (ESD Association).
