Veterans’ programs & benefits
Micron makes a lot of investments in its business, but few are more substantial and important than those it makes in its team members. Micron’s compensation programs are designed to support your financial and personal wellbeing by providing a valuable return for your contributions to the company.
Get to know our ambassadors
We've collected testimonials from veterans and military spouses on our team because there's nothing we can say about being a veteran at Micron that doesn't sound better when it's said by our employees.

Before joining Micron, I was in the Air Force for 10 years. I spent the first half of that decade as an Avionics Sensors Technician. The second half of my service was spent completing my BS in Physics under the Airman Education and Commissioning Program and then working as a Physicist at the Air Force Research Labs. After leaving the service, I started a master’s in electrical engineering. I was fortunate to be selected by Micron for an internship with the Product Yield Enhancement (PYE) group, and I joined the group full-time after I completed my degree. Throughout my 6 years at Micron, I have been given many opportunities to advance, and I’m now leading a team with a global impact. Micron values the experience and skills I learned in the military, and I would love to see more veterans join our team.

PYE LEGACY DRAM LEAD SENIOR ENGINEER & US AIR FORCE VETERAN
I am a serving member of the United States Army Reserve, 68K (Medical Laboratory NCO). Caitlin, my wife, is also a serving member of the USAR (68W, Medic). I have served for 21 years, with two deployments and one mobilization. I am expecting to retire in 2023. Caitlin has decided to stay on for a bit longer. She has been serving since 2012. I started at Micron back in 2008. I had returned from mobilization and found myself without a job. I started as an MT in Dry Etch. Since then, I have been an Equipment Tech, Shift Lead, and Engineer. Micron has played an integral part in my professional development. From the start, I have always felt that I don't have a job at Micron, I have a career. The VERG has been amazing in supporting team members who have worn the uniform and continue to do so. I believe I have found the company I intend to retire from and with the support of all the different ERGs available to us (particularly the VERG in my case), I believe I can achieve that goal moving forward!

DRY ETCH ENGINEER & US ARMY RESERVE
I spent 6 years in the U.S Army as an OH-58D Helicopter Armament / Electrical / Avionics Technician and pursued an A.A.S when I left the service. After completing school, I started as an equipment technician working at our Manassas facility. Through my 14+ years at Micron, I was able to move from a technician to a shift lead, to an engineer, and then finally to a program manager. Micron has given me opportunities I would have never imagined, and truly recognizes and rewards our hard work. We also have an amazing veterans employee resource group that continuously gives back to the community and to the veterans and allies of Micron! If you are looking for a company that rewards hard work and has a supportive veteran community environment, then Micron is it!
