Celebrating our interns on National Intern Day

Fran Dillard | July 2025

At Micron, we believe that innovation begins with opportunity. On this National Intern Day, we celebrate the bright minds shaping the future of technology — our interns.

Internship programs at Micron are more than just a summer experience. They are vital to our workforce strategy, helping us build a pipeline of skilled and passionate talent. Our interns bring fresh perspectives, bold ideas and a contagious energy that inspires teams across the company and around the world.

This summer, we are proud to host 315 interns across 11 US sites. During their 12-week tenure, these students are contributing to real-world projects, collaborating with mentors and experiencing firsthand what it means to be part of a company that values curiosity, inclusion and impact.

As Albert Einstein once said, “I am only passionately curious,” and that’s what we see in this year’s intern cohort. The spirit of curiosity our interns bring keeps us all on our toes. They remind us that innovation starts with asking questions, challenging the norm and seeing the world through new eyes. Investing in our interns is about shaping their future and enriching our culture as we ignite the next generation of changemakers.

Changemakers like Savion Pollard, a U.S. Navy veteran from Syracuse University, a school in Micron's Northeast Semiconductor University Network. Savion is an electrical engineering major, and we are thrilled to have him back for his third internship at Micron. His first two were focused on manufacturing at our Manassas, Virginia, site. This summer, he is working with the construction management team at our expansion site in Clay, New York.

We’re proud to offer our interns a comprehensive experience, including networking events, leader-led Tech Talk workshops, career readiness seminars and volunteer activities benefiting our communities. Additionally, our Micron Young Professionals employee resource group hosts a career conference featuring experts from various business units for further learning opportunities.

But their experiences don’t end with work. At Micron, we not only build memory, we help our interns make memories. This summer, our interns volunteered at Treasure Valley Impact Day in Boise, Idaho, assisted at Micron Family Day events at various U.S. locations, made blankets for animals in shelters, painted plates and collected supplies for local emergency shelters, and prepared cards and letters for veterans and retirement home residents.

It’s been said that the best way to predict the future is to create it, and our commitment to internships is part of a broader vision: to create a workforce that reflects the world we live in and the future we want to build. From our apprenticeship programs to our partnerships with educational institutions, we are investing in pathways that open doors for all and securing a future-ready workforce in a rapidly evolving industry.

To our interns — thank you. Your contributions matter. Your voices are heard. And your potential is limitless.

Happy National Intern Day!

We will start posting information in September for our 2026 summer internship opportunities. Visit micron.com/careers to apply.
