Enriching the Community
Micron knows that education and a strong community are vital to the success of both society and innovative companies. Each of Micron’s sites around the world, know and understand the complex needs of their community. That’s why the Micron Foundation has a broad portfolio of organizations and events that it supports to enrich each unique community. Whether it’s through strategic giving, sponsorships or deploying our team member volunteers, we are making a difference.
Micron encourages and facilitates the efforts of our team members who are interested in volunteering to support various community events or organizations. We keep team members informed about opportunities, assist in making the appropriate contacts, and organize groups of volunteers to participate as part of a Micron volunteer team.
Micron team members devote countless hours to local non-profit organizations and schools, serving youth and the elderly to build vital communities. Whether it's delivering food, keeping the environment clean, painting houses or teaching a classroom lesson, Micron team members are always there to help.

The Micron Foundation provides grants and in-kind support for local non-profits to strengthen our communities. By supporting youth-focused organizations we build a foundation for a strong community.
For community grants, eligible organizations must be located near one of the following Micron sites.
- Boise, Idaho
- Manassas, Virginia
- Italy sites
- Singapore

We participate in activities that address the priorities and concerns of each of our unique communities. Whether its volunteerism, health, education, or the arts, it’s all about building a strong community.
In Idaho, near our corporate headquarters that might mean supporting the Discovery Center of Idaho, Twilight Criterium, or the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. For our Avezzano, Italy site, our support is realized through the Sulmona medieval jousting tournament, holiday concert, and Special Olympics Day. In Manassas, Virginia the local community benefits from our sponsorship of the Summer Sounds Concert Series and the American Diabetes Association walk.
The list goes on, and (like our giving) continually seeks to enrich each community.
