Return Material Authorization (RMA) Process

Contact your Micron Field Representative or Customer Sales Operations Specialist to help determine if a product is eligible for return and/or failure analysis. If eligible, your Micron Representative will provide you with a return materials authorization (RMA) number authorizing your product return. You will also be provided with the relevant return shipping address location and any other special instructions.

Requesting an RMA

If you purchased product directly from Micron, contact your Micron Sales Representative or Customer Sales Operations Specialist.

If you purchased product through an authorized Micron Distribution partner or Contract Manufacturer, please coordinate your return through the party from whom product was purchased.

Provide the following information:

  • Micron part number and quantity
  • Reason for return (if for failure, please complete the form below)
  • Purchase Order number, invoice number, or sales order number

RMA Packaging and Shipping Instructions

Please follow the below packaging and shipping instructions in order to ensure timely processing of your RMA:

  • Package the material appropriately to prevent shipping damage and to provide Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection
  • Write the RMA number on the outside of the box for proper routing
  • Ship to the appropriate site based on the instructions provided by Micron or Micron’s business partner.
