Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client

Micron-Managed Device

Cisco AnyConnect is the VPN software that is used on your Micron-Managed device. Ensure you have met the requirements listed in the Prerequisites section before performing the steps below.

Installation Information

Cisco AnyConnect is installed automatically on your laptop or tablet and is available for use. If for some reason you do not have Cisco AnyConnect installed on your system, use Setup@Micron (SAM) to request it. Or, if you are not physically located at a Micron site, you can download and install the standalone client package from this web site. See the specific instructions below.

If you have Cisco AnyConnect installed

  1. Click the signal strength icon in your system tray and then choose an available wireless network.
  2. Verify the connection by opening your browser and entering www.micron.com in the address field.
  3. Open Cisco AnyConnect.
    Note: The client may update if this is the first time you are opening it.
  4. From the drop-down, select the location closest to your current physical location, and then click Connect.

If you DO NOT have Cisco AnyConnect installed

  1. Click this link to install the Windows package.
  2. After successful installation of the package, open the Cisco AnyConnect software that is now available from your Start menu.
  3. Click the signal strength icon in your system tray, and then choose an available wireless network.
  4. Verify the connection by opening your browser and entering www.micron.com in the address field.
  5. Open Cisco AnyConnect.
    Note: The client may update if this is the first time you are opening it.
  6. From the drop-down, select the location closest to your current physical location, and then click Connect.
