Connection Methods

What Do I Use?

Your remote connection options depend on the type of computer/device you have and whether it is Micron-managed or not. Use the guide below to determine your best connection option:

Micron-Managed

Micron-issued laptops or tablets running Micron's custom-built Windows Operating System (OS). The custom-built OS contains preinstalled applications and solutions, such as the Secure VPN Client, and device support from the IT Service Desk.
Laptop/Tablet
Preferred: Use Virtual Private Network (VPN).
OR
For Legacy Applications: Use the Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access Citrix.

 

Non-Micron-Managed/Personal

Desktop computers, laptop, tablets, and mobile devices NOT running Micron's custom-built Windows Operating System (OS). Applications and solutions need to be manually installed on these systems and devices, and devices may not receive support from the IT Service Desk.
Desktop/Laptop Tablet Phone/Mobile Device
Note: You will use Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with these methods unless noted otherwise.

Preferred: Use Citrix

OR

Use Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Preferred: Use the Micron App Store.
Note: Some apps may require (2FA) if you are off site.
