Citrix

Citrix is the preferred method for accessing Micron programs and files when you are offsite using a non-Micron managed system. Be sure that you have met the requirements listed in the Prerequisites section of the Getting Started tab before performing the steps below to connect to Micron via Citrix.

Using Citrix to Connect to Micron Remotely

  1. From a browser window, visit https://apps.micron.com/. The Citrix Access Gateway displays.
    Note: Internet Explorer 11 is Micron's supported browser. However, Citrix will also function on Chrome (version 51.0.2704.106 or higher) and Firefox (version 47.0.1 or higher). Instructions may vary slightly for these browsers.
  2. Enter your credentials:
    • User name: Enter your Micron username.
    • Password: Enter your Micron password.
    • SecurID Code:
      • SoftID Users: Enter ONLY the number that displays on the SoftID (do not enter your PIN).
      • SecurID Hardware Fob Users: Enter your PIN, followed by the number that displays on the SecurID (do not enter a space between the numbers).
  3. Click Log On. The Citrix Interface displays with the My Applications tab selected by default.
  4. Decide which version of the Citrix Receiver to use:

    Computer, laptop, or tablet users can use a client (full) version or browser-based (light) version of the Citrix Receiver. Mobile device users must use the client (full) version.

    Check which version you are using by clicking the dropdown next to your username in the upper-right corner and selecting Change Citrix Receiver…. 

    To download the Citrix Receiver client (full) version, follow the instructions below. There is no cost associated with the download (although when downloading on a mobile device, data charges may apply if you are not connected to a network).

    Note:
    If you have already downloaded the Citrix Receiver client, go to Step 5.

    Device Citrix Receiver Client Download Method
    Micron-Managed Computer, Laptop, or Tablet

    The Citrix client is installed automatically on all Micron-managed computers, laptops, and tablets and is available for use.

    Personal Computer, Laptop, or Tablet

    Citrix Interface (Preferred): 
    1. Click the dropdown next to your username in the upper-right corner and select Download Citrix Receiver….
    2. Select I agree with the Citrix license agreement, and then click Download.

    Citrix Site (Acceptable):
    1. Visit https://www.citrix.com/go/receiver
    2. Select the appropriate download for your platform and then follow the download instructions. 

    Mobile Device
    (Micron-Managed or Personal - Client Download Required)

    App Store (Preferred): 
    1. Open your device’s app store, such as Google Play.
    Note: Citrix Receiver is not available from Micron’s Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) platform. 
    2. Search for Citrix Receiver. 
    3. Install the app. 

     
  6. Double-click a Remote Desktop option (Full Screen or Multimonitor are the most common, although you can use any available option). The Remote Desktop Connection dialog box displays.
    Note: Remote Desktop is recommended if you want to access all of the programs and files you normally can. 

    OR

    Open a specific application and use as desired. No further steps are required. 
    Note: Click Citrix Application Request if you need an application added to your Citrix profile.
  7. In the Computer field, enter the name of the computer you want to access (Example: joeusername1). Click Connect, and then click Connect again. The Window Security dialog box displays.
  8. Enter your credentials: 
    • User name: Enter your Micron username.
    • Password: Enter your Micron password.
  9. Click OK, and then click OK again. The desktop of the computer you connected to displays. Use it as you normally do.
    Note: Printing and audio capabilities are limited to the computer you connected to, not the computer you connected from. 

Disconnecting from Remote Desktop and Logging Off of Citrix

Citrix Receiver Client Citrix Receiver Light
 1. Close your Remote Desktop. Your Citrix session will expire automatically.  Follow these steps for every active Citrix tab in your browser: 
1. Click the drop-down menu at the top of your window. 
2. Select •••.
3. Click Log Off.
