What is the Global Immersion Initiative?

It's a program with a goal to hire top STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) students in the US to work in Micron's Asian sites upon graduation.

What are the available positions? Where are Micron’s Asian sites?

We provide a wide range of technical positions. You can refer to our Candidate Guide for more details. We have sizable establishments in Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, China, and Malaysia and offices in other locations. For detailed locations, please see our Locations page.

Who can apply for those openings in the Global Immersion Initiative?

Students who are interested in working in Asia are all welcome to apply. We are especially interested in students who want to return to their home countries in Asia or desire to establish a career in Asia.

How do I apply for an internship or an entry level position?

You can visit our Global Immersion Initiative page and apply for generic requisitions. The generic openings are country specific. If you're interested in multiple countries, you need to submit an application for the generic openings in each country.

In my application, what information should I highlight?

You need to specify the positions you're interested in. You also need to include your motivation, your relevant professional experience (areas of research, major of studies, previous work experience). That information will expedite the selection process.

After submission, how long before I get notified of the next step?

The selection is a rolling process. It will take a few weeks to process your application. We will invite qualified candidates for an interview. Please note that due to the high volume of applications, we might not be able to respond to each application.

How will interviews take place?

The interview can be a phone interview, video interview or a face-to-face interview depending on the hiring manager's availability.

If I am hired, when will Micron expect me to join?

Depending on when your studies are completed, Micron expects our new hires to join us as soon as possible after graduation. Please note that certain immigration regulations might apply if you're to work in a foreign country. Questions? Please email us at Global_Immersion@micron.com.
