Patrick J. Byrne


Patrick J. Byrne is the chief executive officer of GE’s digital business and is responsible for leading GE’s digital strategy. Prior to his role at GE, he served as senior vice president of Fortive Corporation when Danaher Corporation completed the separation of its Test & Measurement and Industrial Technologies segments, and as president of Tektronix, a subsidiary of Danaher. Mr. Byrne also served as vice president of Strategy and Business Development and chief technical officer of Danaher from November 2012 to July 2014. Danaher designs, manufactures and markets innovative products and services to professional, medical, industrial and commercial customers. Mr. Byrne served as director, president and chief executive officer of Intermec, Inc., from 2007 to May 2012.

Mr. Byrne holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford University.
