Excellent Healthy Workplace for Health Promotion
Micron’s Taichung site took part in the self-certification of a healthy workplace by the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare. The site encouraged healthy lifestyles and worked to reduced the threat of metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases. The site prioritized team member’s health as one of its goals and encouraged individual health management.

1st Place in CTSP ERT Competition
The site won first place in the Central Taiwan Science Park ERT competition and monthly environment activities.
Excellence Award for Actively Promoting Occupational Health & Safety Activity
The Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) recognised the site’s EHSS Team for co-organizing a safety promotion association with other companies of the CTSP. The site’s EHSS Team shared with EHSS members from other companies of the CTSP on promoting occupational safety activities, sharing related information and how it reduced occupational injuries.
2011
Outstanding Occupational Health & Safety Promoter Award
Micron’s Taichung site won the outstanding occupational health and safety promoter award for the organization and individuals from the Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) and Council of Labor Affairs for the third time. This time, the CTSP highligted the site’s excellent chemical management.
1st Place in CTSP ERT Competition
Micron’s Taichung site won first place in the Central Taiwan Science Park ERT competition and monthly environment activities.
5th National Industrial Safety & Health Award
The site received the 5th National Industrial Safety & Health Award from the Council of Labor Affairs. The site established a management system with more stringent requirements compared to legislation so as to improve its safety and health programs.
20th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award
Micron’s Taichung site received the award for issuing its corporate social responsibility report, promoting local agricultural products, and developing waste recycling measures. The 20th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award was received from the Environmental Protection Agency. The site also received the Lifetime Achievement Award as result of winning the award for three consecutive years.

2010
Outstanding Occupational Health & Safety Promoter Award
The Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) and Council of Labor Affairs rewarded the site for its outstanding occupational health and safety organization and individuals. This was the second time that the site’s EHSS team and its members received this honor. The site implemented a contractor & vendor management system and received an excellence award from CTSP contractor management. Micron’s Taichung site was also the first company in CTSP to pass the Taiwan Occupational Safety & Health Management System (TOSHMS) certification.
19th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award
Micron’s Taichung site received the 19th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award from the Environmental Protection Agency. The site researched and developed energy management systems with the Industrial Technology Research Institute. It also showed its effectiveness in water conservation, energy saving and the importance it placed on promoting environmental protection awareness.
Health Management Award for Healthy Workplace
Micron’s Taichung site took part in a self-certification of a healthy workplace by the Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare. The site actively implemented a tobacco hazard control program and promoted other health-based activities.

Waste Reduction & Resource Reuse Distinction Award
Micron’s Taichung site received the premium prize award from the Environment Protection Agency for its energy-efficient building, process waste reduction from source and reduced energy usage levels.
18th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award
Micron’s Taichung site received the 18th ROC Enterprise Environmental Protection Award from the Environmental Protection Agency for its efforts in environmental protection planning and management, and the implementation of cleaner production and pollution control measures.
Outstanding Occupational Health & Safety Promoter Award
Micron’s Taichung EHSS Team received the outstanding occupational health and safety promoter award by the Central Taiwan Science Park through its efforts to pursue a better EHS management system and ensure a safe workplace.
