Micron's Venture effort is directed by an investment review committee comprised of specific members of Micron's executive team. In performing due diligence and supporting portfolio companies, the Micron Ventures team can also leverage a myriad of technical, process, and industry expertise harbored within Micron's business units and research and development teams.
As Managing Director of Micron Ventures, Matt Freeman is responsible for managing strategic investments and business development opportunities with early stage technology startups. Prior to joining Micron Ventures, he spent time working in the semiconductor industry in various corporate development and research roles. Currently, he serves as a board member and as a board observer for multiple venture-backed companies.
He holds a Master of International Management degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian Studies from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, also from the University of Utah.
