On December 6, Micron’s acquisition of Inotera was finalized. One week later, the two companies, along with several Taiwan dignitaries, celebrated the joining of the two companies.
The December 12 event combined traditional Taiwan festivities with speeches from both company and Taiwan leadership and marked an important milestone in the two companies’ longstanding relationship.

The celebration took place at the former Inotera campus in Taoyuan City with approximately 200 guests in attendance, including Formosa Group Co-Chair Susan Wang, Inotera Chair Dr. Pei Ing Lee, Taoyuan Mayor Cheng Wen-tsan, and Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen.

Micron CEO Mark Durcan summed up the day in his welcome speech, stating that he was glad to address the group from Micron’s newest state-of-the-art DRAM facility and that the timing could not be better for merging the organizations and building one of the world’s best semiconductor companies.
