This year was a first for me—the first year I attended Electronica China and the third year that Micron participated. From March 17–19, Micron participated at Electronica Shanghai with individual sections covering the embedded applications supported by Micron memory. From my vantage point during those three days, I could definitely tell that the industry focus on automotive is growing in China.
The automotive section of our Micron booth had wonderful attendance, with thousands of visitors on a daily basis. Thanks to the participation of the local automotive manufacturers, we were able to show several infotainment systems that were locally developed and produced. We were also able to display upcoming advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) that use Micron’s 2Gb DDR3 and Parallel NOR, thanks to Texas Instruments. This demo showed the capability of future safety systems to identify driving lanes, pedestrians, other vehicles, and even obstacles. The use of Micron’s products with this platform and others like it will help keep us all safer when driving our cars.
This was a great opportunity for us to meet with customers who are interested in Micron’s automotive memory solutions and make connections with up-and-comers in Asia’s rapidly growing automotive market. For those who weren’t able to make it by our booth—please don’t hesitate to contact your local Micron team if you have any questions.
We appreciated the opportunity to participate at Electronica China and look forward to seeing you all again next year!
