Congressman Mike Simpson honored for company and industry support
Executives and team members recently honored Congressman Mike Simpson (R-Idaho) with the first Micron Political Action Committee (PAC) Legislator of the Year Award during his legislative update to Micron PAC team members. The newly established award recognizes those in federal office who stand out in their support of the company and our industry. Micron PAC team members voted for Simpson in the U.S. House of Representatives category.
“During Congressman Simpson’s tenure in Congress, he has been very responsive and supportive of Micron and important industry issues,” said Micron PAC Chairman Mike Reynoldson. “Most recently, he was instrumental in helping us secure and stable helium supply by advancing the Responsible Helium Stewardship Act – this was a top priority for Micron. Working alongside both parties, he helped convince Congress to pass the helium bill which was one of the few pieces of legislation signed into law by President Obama last year.”
The Micron PAC is a bipartisan organization that supports federal congressional candidates and leaders who have worked to advance policy issues in support of the competitiveness of our industry.
