Team members in East Kilbride are participating in and hosting fundraising events throughout the year to benefit three charities: Kilbride Hospice, West of Scotland Football Club for the Disabled and Everyman.
Earlier this year, East Kilbride held a book fair, raising £218.13, which will be put towards a final fundraising total at the end of the year which will be split between the three charities.
Additionally, East Kilbride team members raised £314.50 towards a sponsored walk by the West of Scotland Football Team for the disabled. The club was formed in 1999 to give people with a physical disability the opportunity to play competitive football against their peers. Contributions help fund the team's training costs, training kit and competitive football program for players with an ambulant physical disability.
