Micron Executive Provides Update on Progress of IM Flash Singapore

Micron President Mark Durcan recently visited the company's Singapore operations and took some time out of his busy schedule to update The Straits Times, Singapore’s national daily, on the progress of the IM Flash Singapore facility that is currently under construction. In the interview, Durcan explained that IM Flash Singapore is the fourth plant being built under the NAND joint venture with Intel and the only facility to be located outside the United States. Durcan also reported that construction is on track with the first wafer expected in the latter half of 2008 and the facility expected to be fully operational by 2009.
