Micron Showcases Emerging Memory Technologies at MemCon Japan 2015

At the end of February, Micron attended MemCon Japan 2015 at the Tokyo Conference Center Shinagawa. One of the organizers of this event is a company that Micron works closely with—Cadence Design Systems, Japan, a provider of electronic design solutions.

Cadence invited us to showcase some of our emerging memory technologies at MemCon, and we made the most of the opportunity to highlight Micron’s product portfolio and our other strengths as a leading memory provider. Daigo Toyama (Ecosystem Marketing Manager for Micron’s Embedded Business Unit, Japan) and Yoshitomo Asakura (Senior Manager for Micron’s Compute and Networking Business Unit, Japan) gave speeches on the theme of Micron memory as total solutions.

At our Micron booth, we discussed the current market environment and future trends surrounding volatile and nonvolatile memory, and we showcased product samples and a reference platform equipped with DRAM/NOR/e.MMC. Another highlight was introducing our ultra high-speed Hybrid Memory Cube (HMC); it was a main point of interest for many visitors at our booth.

MemCon Japan gave us a chance to show that Micron has the best memory portfolio for the embedded market and that we are ready to support the memory needs of Japan with our wide-ranging product line-up of DRAM, NAND, and NOR Flash, as well as SSDs and HMC.
