If you have a robot question, odds are that Vice President of Memory System Development Dean Klein can answer them. Idaho students put his knowledge to the test during a recent filming of Science Trek, Idaho Public Television's science show for elementary age students.
Science Trek spans IdahoPTV’s online and broadcast channels to introduce science topics to students and inspire them to investigate learning and career opportunities in STEM fields. Each month, two scientists answer questions from students on a specific topic.
Well-known for his background with robotics, Klein was a natural fit for this episode, which was partially filmed on site at Micron. He received recognition from FIRST Robotics in 2012 as a mentor for the Bullbots FIRST Robotics Competition Team at Mountain View High School in Meridian, Idaho – which he continues to support today. Klein also regularly contributes to the Micron Foundation’s K-12 programs as a volunteer to help spark a passion for STEM topics.
The robotics episode of Science Trek on Idaho Public Television initially aired on Feb. 17 and will re-air multiple times throughout the weekend. You can also visit the website to view videos and other resources from the episode.
