Boise Ironman 70.3

Micron was proud to support Boise's Ironman 70.3 and our community this past weekend as Idaho welcomed more than 1,500 triathlon athletes from around the world. Several team members played a critical role in supporting the contest and the Micron campus also served as backdrop for part of the competition, as the bike course flowed through Micron facilities and into downtown Boise.

2013 marked the fifth year of Boise's Ironman 70.3, which is part of a series of middle-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation that consists of a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and 13.1-mile run for a total distance of 70.3 miles. By hosting a portion of the bike-course on campus, Micron proudly supported our community in providing a safe route for competitors and alleviating some traffic congestion experienced by commuters in southeast Boise from the route used in previous years.
