Micron Chip Camp: Inspiring Students with Hands-on Technology

By Corporate Communication - 2012-06-14

Micron Chip Camp 2012 is in full swing this week and next week as 120 students from across the state of Idaho gather at the Dehryl Dennis Professional Technical Education Center to get hands-on experience in the science and technology that forms the basis for the semiconductor industry.

"This is all about getting students inspired in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education," said Executive Director of the Micron Foundation Dee Mooney. "It helps to spark a passion for STEM topics, it helps them see how technology plays a role in their everyday lives, and hopefully this experience is the start of exploring a rewarding STEM career some day."
