DDR DIMM Models

Unbuffered DIMM models can be extracted from the .BRD file in the Design File, or created from the net structure and segment lengths described in the design specification.

Module Validation

Module designs in this site are tested to verify the design specification and simulation targets. This is not a complete system validation, but a functional and elecrical validation of the PCB design. We verify with the following test suite:

  • Signal continuity (open- shorts)
  • Power plane and bussing continuity
  • System test in Micron Evaluation Platform
    • Nominal Environment
    • PC1600 and PC2100
    • Lightly loaded and maximum loading conditions
    • Functionality running memory tests
  • Signal integrity and timing (validate to simulation)
    • clock skew
    • address skew

Complete validation of these modules is done by individual processor, chipset, or system companies. Our intent is to ensure module design criteria is met, not to perform system validation.
