EHS Certifications

ISO 14001:2004

This Corporate ISO 14001 Certification is for the internationally-recognized environmental management systems standard. ISO 14001 is the leading voluntary international environmental management standard that helps ensure organizations have effective environmental management systems.

  • 2006 (May) – Valid until February 2009
    Valid for Micron sites: Boise, Idaho; Avezzano, Italy; Manassas, VA; Nishiwaki City, Japan; and Singapore
  • 1999 (February) – Initial ISO 14001 certification for Micron Japan site
  • 1997 (February) - Initial ISO 14001:1996 Initial certification for Micron Boise site (subsequently superseded by the Corporate certificate above).

Micron was one of the first companies in the United States to attain certification under the new ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standard.

OSHAS 18001:1999

The Corporate OHSAS 18001 Certification is for the recognized standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management systems. Micron received corporate certification under OHSAS 18001 recognizing the Company’s commitment to safety.

  • 2004 (December) – Valid until December 2007
    Valid for Micron sites: Boise, Idaho; Avezzano, Italy; Manassas, VA; Nishiwaki City, Japan; and Singapore
