Supporting Long Design Cycles With a Stable Portfolio

Micron’s Product Longevity Program (PLP) is designed to provide stable memory architectures for long-life applications like those in the automotive, industrial, medical, and aerospace. Through the PLP, we will make a range of DRAM, NAND, and NOR devices available for a minimum of 10 years*.

The 10-year lifecycles for Micron PLP products will begin when a product is introduced into the PLP and will include extended notification and conversion timelines.

Given the longevity of devices in the PLP program, it may be necessary to transition the device to a new silicon process node or move production to an alternate manufacturing facility. In these cases, Micron will re-qualify the device and inform PLP customers of any corresponding ordering part-number changes.

To facilitate these transitions, PLP-eligible products have extended notification and conversion timelines; participating customers will be given 12 months from notification to place last-time orders and an additional 12 months to receive last-time shipments. This notification period is double the standard notification period, allowing customers two years to convert to newer products.

For information on the part families included in the program, please see the table below. For part details and ordering information, contact your sales representative or distributor.
