Serviceability and Scalability for Enterprise Servers

Our ultra-high performance P320h 2.5-inch PCIe SSD is an industry first—delivering PCIe performance in a compact, accessible 2.5-inch form factor. This drive introduces groundbreaking serviceability and scalability for enterprise servers while providing low latency, high IOPS, and enterprise-class storage reliability. It does all of that and lowers the total cost of ownership (TCO).

Unlike standard card drives, the 2.5-inch PCIe is easily inserted into the front of a compatible server without requiring the server to be powered down or removed from the rack. Its hot-swap capability dramatically decreases server downtime and maintenance costs.

Built on our own server-grade SLC NAND and optimized by our custom controller, the 2.5-inch PCIe delivers outstanding sequential and random read/write performance without burdening the host processor. The drive also utilizes a new SATA/SAS/PCIe combination connector, developed using the SNIA specification, to support customer flexibility and system longevity.

Partnering for Excellence

We partnered with Dell, a leading provider of enterprise solutions, to build the 2.5-inch PCIe drive for Dell’s PowerEdge™ 12th-generation servers. Our proven NAND expertise, coupled with Dell’s enterprise knowledge and customer insights, resulted in a groundbreaking SSD that provides significant value to the enterprise customer, tackling performance bottlenecks and improving scalability.

Both Micron and Dell are helping drive adoption of this 2.5-inch PCIe form factor through their membership in the SSD Form Factor Working Group (ssdformfactor.org). The working group is a broad industry effort to simplify the adoption and integration of PCIe storage drives, enabling breakthrough storage performance to reach broader audiences.
