Our P200 drives are built to handle the heavy transaction loads of enterprise applications like video-on-demand servers. We stringently test our SLC NAND components and assembled SSDs to ensure they meet strict endurance standards. When testing the P200, we carefully track usage conditions, component cycles, write amplification factors, and drive wear-leveling efficiency. Based on these tests, we can confidently say that our 50GB P200 will write 730TB of data during its lifetime at typical usage conditions*—that’s the equivalent of writing eight times the total capacity (400GB) every day for five years. The reliability of our P200 SSDs is based on our advanced defect and error management technology. We use a tailored combination of hardware error correction algorithms and static and dynamic firmware wear-leveling algorithms. All these elements work together to create highly reliable enterprise SSDs that improve system response time for low-latency workloads. In fact, our P200 delivers 5X better IOP performance than an enterprise-class HDD.
