K-12 Lesson Plans

National Science Standards

Micron's K-12 lessons are aligned with the National Science Content Standards* (http://www.nap.edu/readingroom/books/nses/).

Specific alignments are listed on the individual lessons. Lessons were written to provide students experience with science in a form that engages them in active construction of ideas and explanations within their developmental capabilities. Many lessons also require application of mathematical skills.

These lessons reflect Micron's commitment to science education in grades K-12 as described in the National Program Standards, "The program of study in science for all students should be developmentally appropriate, interesting, and relevant to student's lives; emphasize student understanding through inquiry; and be connected with other school subjects."
