Job Description: Give a solid educational foundation and instill a love of learning, teach math, science, reading, writing, spelling, geography, language, art and history plus personal safety, nutrition, drug awareness, and morals.
   
 


Problem:

To compute students' grades for report cards, grades are taken at least twice a week for the nine-week grading period.

If the following are a typical student's grades, what is his/her overall average?

      Computing grades:

      1. Add all grades recorded:

        85 + 90 + 90 + 100 + 75 + 68 + 93 + 96 + 86 + 100 + 100 + 85 + 80 + 95 + 93 + 100 + 100 + 80 = 1,616

      2. Divide this sum by the number of recorded grades:

        1,616 18 = 89.7%

      3. Round off to nearest whole number:

        89.7% = 90%
