Problem:
You have two square containers. One contains 3 gallons and the other contains 5 gallons of fluid. How do you get 4 gallons of fluid?

Solution:
Tilt both containers onto end C and pour out the liquid until it levels between points D and B. This will leave exactly half the liquid in each container.
Add the 2.5 gallons and the 1.5 gallons to equal 4 gallons.
