Associate Technician/Technician
The Associate Technician/Technician is responsible for the daily support of the production areas on equipment issues and problems.
You will be responsible to perform scheduled equipment preventative maintenance, support down equipment to keep production running,
and work on special projects requested by the Fab. Other responsibilities include providing excellent customer service for all areas
while performing preventive maintenance on equipment and sustaining production areas, working with other engineers on solutions and
ongoing problems, participating in quality improvement activities, and evaluating and improving equipment, chemicals, and processes.
In your position, you will utilize on-line training materials, including manuals, checklists, and scripts and you may be involved
in equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements.
Qualified candidates must have the ability to systematically troubleshoot a problem, implement corrective actions to solve problems,
and have the ability and desire to learn new equipment and process skills. In addition, candidates must possess a desire to learn
new equipment repairs and improve troubleshooting skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines and time constraints, work independently or in groups, and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage time. Good verbal and written communication skills, computer skills and knowledge, and strong customer service and follow-up skills are required. Experience as a technician in an industry related field is a plus, but not required.
Required Education: Minimum of an AAS Degree in electronics or military equivalent experience (must be evaluated by military or other education institution).
TEM Technician
The Micron Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) lab provides R&D and Manufacturing support by providing failing-bit, structural, and compositional analysis down to the sub-nanometer scale.
As a TEM Technician at Micron, you will work in a fast-paced production support role interacting with all levels of engineering and production groups. In this position, you will be responsible for using Focused Ion Beams (FIB), grinders, ion mills, and/or dimplers to prepare TEM samples. You will also be required to use the TEM for imaging and CD measurement and to develop new sample preparation techniques. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal customers to understand the details of their work requests.
Qualified candidates will have experience with Transmission Electron Microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Focused Ion Beams,
and cross sectional sample preparation.
Required Education: Must be pursuing a minimum of an AAS in Electron Microscopy.
