Internship Job Profiles
Electrical Engineering
Jet, Iowa State
"After working two months I don't feel like an intern any more. I've been assigned high-priority projects where I'm responsible for the final approval prior to delivery to our customer.
It's been great for my confidence to complete something so important
to the department and the company. I really enjoy working with this team, learning
from my supervisors and the other engineers, and writing scripts in programming
languages I've never used before. It's an exciting challenge." See

"Micron is full of opportunities for people who want to succeed. They give
you every chance to make your experience as beneficial as you want it
to be. I've found the experience and the knowledge that I've gained at this
job to be extremely rewarding. This is my second internship here at Micron.
One of the biggest assets that I've found from being here is that I'm able to
take situations and concepts learned in the classroom and apply it to real world
situations." See Recruiting Video
Chemical Engineering
Mica, University of Idaho
"As an intern at Micron I work as a Process Engineer in Fab 4, the research and development fab. Along with the trouble-shooting that I am continuously performing on processes in the fab, I also spend time on many R&D experiments designed to produce new and better processes.
I particularly enjoy my work in Fab 4 because it allows me to be a part of
developing the up-and-coming processes in semiconductor production. The intern
program at Micron is very impressive. In my time here at Micron, I have encountered
nothing but fun, energetic people eager to help me with any problems I may have.
Additionally, Micron is headquartered in a spectacular city. Boise is the perfect
balance between huge city and small town. It is the perfect place to live in
the summer because it is able to provide everything from concerts, clubs, and
sporting events, to camping, hiking, and river rafting." See

Materials Science
Maitland, Arizona State
"Once on site I was set back by the amount of equipment and the quality of
the facilities. I was given the necessities to complete projects to the best
of my abilities. Facilities like this are hard to find out in the general
work place. My supervisor wants to see me get the most out of my experiences
here at Micron. He works to make sure that projects cover a large array of tasks
so that I am able to develop my skills from all spectrums. Throughout this internship
I have been able to use my talents to excel. I have experienced other internships,
but with Micron I was encouraged to refine my skills as well as develop
new ones." See Recruiting Video
Computer Science
Durand, Carnegie Mellon
"While interning with Micron my work was taken seriously. Since the group I
worked with develops a product that is supported on both Windows NT and UNIX
platforms, I wrote my projects using the Perl programming language. They went
through the same group review process as other projects. All interested group
members met for an hour or two to dig into the code and suggest improvements.
I was given free reign over design and implementation decisions once the initial
requirements were specified. The most gratifying moments came when I completed
a project and saw it put to use by the person who requested it." See
