Intern Software Engineer

The Micron Software Engineer designs and develops software for manufacturing using client/server, database, and Web application development tools. Individuals analyze and develops functional and maintainable software systems for manufacturing semi-conductors. Manufacturing software schedules, tracks, manages the flow, and reports on all product produced at multiple sites around the world. Software engineers in these groups participate in analysis and design meetings; provide on-call support in a 24x7 environment; define and make suggestions that improve software engineering, production, and process issues; learns new tools and work independently with minimal supervision; maintains, troubleshoots, and enhances existing software; and applies good programming practices resulting in efficient maintainable software. Candidates will have opportunities for project, product, and technology leadership roles through out the organization.

Good communication, leadership, problem solving skills, and ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge in several of the following areas is a plus: client/server and/or Web development, C#, Visual Basic, C++, MSSQL, Sybase, Oracle, XML, HTML, Perl, SAP, Windows, Linux and Unix.

Required Education: Must be pursuing a minimum of a BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience required.
