Internship Program - Allen, Texas

Micron's Texas Engineering Center (MTEC) is located in Allen, Texas, north of Dallas. The engineers at MTEC work on every phase of memory chip design, including floor planning, circuit synthesis and simulation, physical layout, and verification and initial silicon debug. They research competitive architectures and work with advanced CMOS devices and processes.

MTEC typically offers up to three-month, full-time, paid internship positions during the summer and in some cases may provide assistance with transit and housing expenses. Extended internships may be available, depending on department needs.

In and Around Allen

Beautiful, temperate Allen, population 68,000, is 12 miles north of Dallas. The Allen and Dallas areas have a unique Texas flavor: upscale style with down-home flair. The Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area (the "Metroplex") boasts a historic past and progressive future with a population of 5.2 million. The Metroplex embodies a sense of western heritage mixed with a modern cosmopolitan cityscape of museums, shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment and serves as the Southwest's business and technology heart.

Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the area's golf courses, along with the 23,000 acres of public park land and more than 60 lakes and reservoirs. The area boasts six major public universities.
